This project involved the replacement of an existing 2.4m diameter corrugated steel culvert with a 2.1m diameter composite, steel-reinforced pipe in Glenugie, Peterhead. The scope of the project included diverting the culvert away from Score’s yard area, which required meticulous planning, coordination and execution.
• Culvert tie-ins at depths of 10m and 5m
• Two deep tie ins to the existing culvert
• Utilised the Volvo ECR355E fitted with Trimble GPS machine control
• Groundforce – 4m Manhole box with high clearance posts and struts and rolling strut trench boxes
• Selwood – 8 inch raw water pumps x2
• Aquaspira 2.1m diameter composite, steel reinforced pipes with associated poured concrete structures at tie-in up and down stream
Successfully completed the works with the water now flowing through the new culvert.
