This month marks an incredible milestone for Scott as he achieves a 10 year service award. We’re exceptionally proud and grateful for Scott’s dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to our company.
Now Tarring Chargehand, Scott joined the team in 2014 and has become an invaluable asset to Nicol of Skene, his expertise and dedication have ensured that projects are always successfully completed. His role sees him assisting with the supervision of the team across a range of tarring projects, including driveways and roads, as well as working on small works, concrete, and fencing projects. Scott also operates heavy machinery while working on sites, including diggers, the paving roller, and lorries.
Following in the footsteps of his father, Scott left school to start tarring his career path just before his 17th birthday, showcasing his extremely high work ethic from a young age.
Scott explained that he really enjoys getting out to see the countryside, his role has taken him across the country, and he advises young people to “knuckle down, stick in, and pay attention; always observe what people are doing, and when you’re working, make sure to ask plenty of questions.”
Scott’s 10 years with Nicol of Skene are testament to his dedication and our commitment to fostering a positive and rewarding work environment. We're incredibly lucky to have him on our team, and it has been inspiring witnessing Scott grow and progress both personally and throughout his career. As we look ahead, we know Scott will continue to play a vital role in our success, bringing his expertise and positive spirit to every project.
