We asked Andy, what did he want to be when he was growing up?

Andy said, "It was a little while ago now, and I definitely had no idea — but probably something like a fireman or policeman!"

Andy’s career journey and his role at Nicol of Skene:

Andy has always worked in the building trade. Since starting in 2007, he spent 13 years at Westgate Inverurie and has been on Malcolm Allan Sites for 17 years. He initially started as a labourer, but has been a Civils Chargehand for most of his time at the company.

He believes in passing on his knowledge and skills to those who are just starting their careers, and it’s something that brings him great satisfaction. Watching apprentices grow into skilled professionals is one of the most rewarding parts of his job.
