Gas
Nicol of Skene are Gas Industry Registration Scheme (GIRS) accredited to carry out Gas Construction, Commissioning & Connections.
We are currently employed by Scottish and Southern Energy to carry out their meter installations and new connections across Scotland.
When it comes to Gas Service Connections we take the health and safety of our team, customers and the public very seriously. All of our Gas Operatives are fully trained and receive refresher training on a regular basis.
We can offer connections to single private residences or to multiple new build projects.

Water
Nicol of Skene have become the first civil engineering contractor in the north east to sign a UCP agreement with Scottish Water under the Water Industry Registration Scheme (WIRS).
The company has a range of experience which enables it to understand client requirements and provide innovative solutions through cost effective design and construction services for water industry projects.
Working together with consultants, architects and other profesisonals Nicol of Skene provides a range of services which includes:
- Full design service
- Water mains renewal and rehabilitation
- Pipeline construction both open cut and no dig techniques
- Flood alleviation schemes
- Testing and chlorination

Electricity
Nicol of Skene are accredited with the National Electricity Registration Scheme (NERS).
The company is a recognised specialist in the supply and installation of electricity equipment, along with other associated services required by commercial, industrial and domestic client as well as owners of low and high voltage electrical distribution systems up to 33kV. The business objective is to deliver a comprehensive service covering all aspects of design, construction and maintenance combined with quality work and competitive pricing.
