A fantastic opportunity has become available with a leading Civil Engineering and Multi-Utility Contractor in the North East of Scotland. 

Nicol of Skene are currently recruiting for a Quarry & Recycling Supervisor to join and help manage our high performing, innovative and expanding Quarry and Recycling division.  The right candidate must have a good understanding of quarrying environments and extraction systems.  The position is based at our Quarry in Westhill, Aberdeenshire.

The successful candidate will supervise the day to day operations of the Quarry and Recycling Centre and provide support to the Quarry & Plant Manager.  Within the job role the main aspect of the role would be operating quarry and recycling equipment. 

 The Duties 

  • Running off all crushing and screening equipment
  • Operate 360 excavator and loading shovel
  • Run wash plant at recycling yard and screen all materials
  • Supervise day to day running of quarry and recycling
  • Maintain all machines to a high standard
  • Keep all daily paperwork up to date
  • Loading lorries with aggregates for sites
  • Assisting with blasting operations
  • Build, create, develop and maintain effective customer relationships
  • Liaising with commercial team
  • Assist with maintaining quarry production levels
  • Provide holiday cover for quarry and recycling centre employees

 Requirements 

  • CPCS – Screener
